In RPG², the world of Rpangaea is under siege by a wicked creature operating from somewhere within the shadows of the sinister swamplands.
Only an RPG, an ancient automaton built for war, is capable of stopping it, but be careful: wicked monsters have long roamed Rpangaea, causing destruction and bloodshed in their wake.
Three audit stones are strewn across the land, and can be collected to increase your power, though it is optional to do so. In fact, barring the tutorial dungeon, you can pretty much bypass the entire game and face the final boss if you know what you're doing.
In essence, it's pretty much exactly what I imagine Kadokawa imagined players would make with RPGMaker 2003: a simple little Dragon Quest homage with a few new ideas sprinkled in.

its lack of dialogues and openness may discourage players that want a complex story or to be taken by hand and directed through the game. Here this does not happen, you make your choices and it the choice is wrong you may die. And reload from your last save in the last church you visited, mind that! You will not start from the last dungeon you visited, so this may also be frustrating if a player forgets to save or doesn't plan the expeditions to the wild areas. But on the other hand this is part of the fun of the game, that was specifically made to be an old style experience. I see no errors here, so what can I tell you? Try it, invest some time if you think that you may enjoy this kind of game. As usual the humble beginnings may be harsh and challenging, but when you find out that the world hates you and you learn more about the game it will be possible to profit. And maybe find some shortcuts. I liked it. Good but not fun for everyone. Mind that.
